Paddles should not scratch driveway or surface it is being used on...

I bought this because I have a colored stamped cement driveway that I wanted to protect. Previously, I have used several other snowblowers with steel augers and have have had no problem. But, better safe than sorry. The shortcoming is that it does not throw the snow quite as far as the steel augur. My son bought the steel auger Ego and it works just a bit better. This unit will also have a propensity with wet snow to have a clogged chute than will continuously need breaking up. For that, I use a 5 gal paint can wooden stir stick. This is excellent for a geography with relatively light dry snow of less than 18 inches. I have done 24 inches, but it is a fight partly because of this units soft augers.

    Electric snowblower

We needed a blower for our wooden decks. Plastic blade prevents damage to the surface. Easy to use, perfect size, powerful.

    works like a charm

I've only needed to use it one, but in about 8 inches of snow. Worked exactly as expected and made quick work of clearing a short walkway and a driveway that can hold 2 cars

    No customer service

I have the 24" 2 stage snowblower, it has been a champ for two years. This year I picked up a wood chip in the impeller and now it moves forward and backwards but nothing else. I called "customer service" and they helped me register my tool but that's it. I live in Colorado, it has been snowing every few days, it has been just shy of three weeks, they say that my case has been "elevated" which I guess means left on the shelf with no further contact. It's been a week since I've heard from anyone. I love all of my Ego tools but come on, where is the customer service?

    Worth every penny!

I'm a 69 yr old woman. I fractured my right shoulder last year and was looking for a snowblower I could handle. I purchased the EGO 56-volt snowblower and am I glad I did! I live in NW Indiana, right on Lake Michigan. We have had freezing rain, snow, and more snow in the past 2 weeks. In the past 36 hrs, we received 38" (yes, 3 ft, 2 in.) of snow. Not only did my EGO go through the snow, it also went through the ice snow left in front of my drive by the city plows. I would make sure that the batteries were charged and kept them inside for warmth. After I used the snowblower, I cleared the chute and made sure any snow and ice were cleared from the blades (I had no trouble lifting it to get to the blades easily). I am the only resident in the neighborhood who had a clear driveway during a snow emergency.
