This chainsaw is awesome! It cuts exactly like my gas powered chainsaw, but I don't wear myself out trying to start it up. I cut down and fifteen 60foot pine trees, all about 12" diameter, and cut them into 4foot sections before I had to recharge the battery. And the battery was fully charged again, in about an hour!

I believe it’s wise to invest in the highest strength battery EGo has. It is awesome to use my chainsaw it’s sucks though when I’m using it and it dies the beginner battery as a Collett is not anything compared to the highest voltage battery they have I’m trying to start my own business and have to buy either more batteries of the same size or two larger ones which are very costly I’m not one to complain as I know quality over quantity is what’s needed I just wish that they are advertisements at Lowe’s and any other place they sell would have more information about how to get these batteries

I was a little leery about buying an electric saw as I already own two gas saws but I must say I have been very pleasantly surprised with this saw. I have cut everything up to about seven inches and it is just excellent. This saw is very well made and I am pleased with the warranty on the saw and battery.
We burn wood all winter and I plan to use my EGO for trimming and cutting smaller trees. I also strap it on my ATV when patrolling my property to cut any blow downs etc. along the trail.
The only negative I have is the fact that you cannot see the oil level thru the plastic window on the oil reservoir so you really need to keep an eye on it while working.

We were highly impressed with the ease at which the chainsaw cut through our tree! Took down a 35 ft tree with no problem! When we got to the wide part at the base of the tree, it sliced through it effortlessly! Better than a gas chainsaw because there is no smell of exhaust!

My gas chainsaw finally died, so I was in the market for a new chainsaw. I needed a chainsaw for the occasional use of trimming branches and cutting up limbs. Getting out the gas chainsaw to use three or four times a summer was always a chore, especially if the gas oil mix in the chainsaw was bad, or the chainsaw was difficult to start and keep running. The idea of a battery operated chainsaw was appealing to me as long as it had enough power to do the cutting I wanted it to do. I watched a lot of YouTube videos comparing different saws and decided to go with the EGO 14 inch chainsaw. Really liked the design, the weight balance, the 14” blade vs 12” blade, and the power it seem to have over some of the other chainsaws I looked at. I couldn’t be happier with my choice. I used it all afternoon the other day, and it was great. I had a fire going out back, and had a big pile of branches and limbs that were on the ground and needed to be cut-up. I cut up some limbs, put the chainsaw down to move the limbs over to the fire and stack them in a pile, and then cut some more limbs. I did this for a couple hours and it was great not having to keep the chainsaw running the whole time, or having it die out on me, and have to restart it over and over and over again. I would highly recommend this chainsaw.
