Used this saw to cut down a few ash trees. Works amazing. Then last week it just died. Battery was fine. Just quit working. Product support ended this past May.

I really liked this saw until my last cut of a fallen tree. It was well balanced, cut pretty decently, and quiet. But around my last cut it stopped working. I removed the tensioner cover cleaned out the saw dust but for some reason the cover would not go back on completely. The only way the cover would go back together was without the chain bar. I ended up returning it.

This is my first electric chainsaw and so far I’m impressed. I charged the battery fully and ran the saw for about 30 min cutting up this pine tree and pruning other limbs. There is still 4/5 battery charge remaining according to the LED. I used the EGO bar and chain oil, it is VERY thick and sticky, and I’d say only used about 20 % of the oil in the reservoir in that time. I read concerns about seepage while not in use, which the owners manual says is normal. I’ll have to see if that actually happens. I was surprised at the lack of noise compared to a gas saw, it sounded “weak” but flew through the tree trunk with ease. If the saw and battery hold up over time, I will be very pleased with my purchase.

I was very skeptical about bat operated saws- this one has the rpm's of a gas powered chainsaw! Went 45mins on a single battery charge. Goes throught tree trunks & limbs like butter. Easy to use, clean & maintain. STARTS EVERY TIME! Had mine almost a year & LOVE IT!

This saw was ready to go out of the box. I used the battery from my EGO weed wacker to give it a try. The batteries are interchangeable which is a nice feature. It cuts well and not yanking a pull rope to start it is a real pleasure
