I thought ego batteries were interchangeable between all tools but they are not. The 12ah battery will not fit into the slots on the snowblower. My two 7.5ah batteries only last about 10 minutes of snow blowing light fluffy snow before they flash red from overheating. The batteries are dated 2022 even though I purchased the unit in 2024.

I bought for my parents. My 75 yo step dad uses it. He's really slow so battery life isn't the best. But I can get it done.

Liked the light weight and throwing distance. I bought the snt 2405 with twin 7.5 amp batteries. The batteries were fully charged but i barely got my one car width, 50 ft. long driveway cleared before the batteries were exhausted. 7 inches of wet, heavy snow drastically reduced the run time. i saw the reviews where the owner cleared multiple driveways on one charge but i have to tell you that a heavy load will eat up the charge quickly.

If you're going to clear a large and wide driveway ensure that you purchase a two-stage blower for the extra umph to move the snow where you want it. Also, if you are at the extreme of the driveway length described in the advertising, consider a second set of batteries--not cheap--or be prepared for clearing your drive in two sessions. In Virginia this winter, we have had a 6" and 4" delivery of snow in my area and the machine performed well in both instances. My criticisms include: the lag between releasing the drive control lever and the machines ability to stop forward or rearward momentum, the battery compartment lights---which indicate battery status---being covered in snow while you're clearing, and the tendency of the snow blower to ride up over compacted snow rather than digging into it. Do NOT use this product on gravel. But I cleared 85% of my drive and walkway in less than 90 minutes for what would have been an otherwise six hour plus job. Overall, I think that this is a great product and in at least a dry powdery snow delivers about 40' (not 50' in my experience) on the turbo setting. Battery recharge was about 90". Just pay attention to the angle you place on the adjustable chute AND wind speed and direction---or your significant other will be calling you "Frosty" and the kids will try sticking a carrot in your nose.

This machine only worked for a few hours. Now when you try to start it up it makes a loud clunk but the auger will not engage. Seller says too bad, contact the manufacturer. I have been trying to get support from Ego but they will not answer the phone, calling for 3 days now. We have a huge dump of snow and I am stuck with a broken machine. Terrible product, terrible service, I should have kept my gas blower!
