I think this ST1520S is a good option for a trimmer for anyone doing a small or maybe medium amount of grass. I've bought 3 ego string trimmers so far and I like different things about each one, so I'm using this review as a place to spaz out.ST1623T or ST1620T is the line IQ auto-feed ego trimmer. I like this trimmer a lot, and I think just for cutting grass it is pretty great. For edging sidewalks/fence lines etc. it is pretty bad, and I think something like the ST1520S wins because bump-head is way better than IQ feed when the line needs to feed on command rather than taking a long time to feed out.BCX4500 is the ego bike-handle blade cutter, and you can also buy a string trimmer head for it. This one is more expensive, has by far the highest RPM options (#3 speed is so high I don't even really use it), and you can easily take the head off and run a much longer trimmer line (like 20" or so) for a huge cutting swath.I have likes and dislikes on all these trimmers.ST1520S is great, has power-feed which is amazing, but has no harness clip and can't run a long line using no guard (unit will shut off every 3 seconds or so with longer line). Bump feed is good.ST1620T is good, but kind of sucks at edging, which limits its usefulness a bit. The delay when advancing string can really suck. Good for trimming otherwise, has a harness clip, and also has the really nice power-feed.BCX4500 is good but also sucks at edging at an angle. It is by far the best at cutting large amounts of open grass, so if you are often weed-eating large open areas, this one is way ahead. Great power and can run long string lines. Decent harness clip set-up. Unfortunately it uses speed-feed instead of power-feed, but on the plus side this makes it compatible with other weed-eater speed-feed head options.

Light, powerful and easy to reload.

The string trimmer has plenty of power and starts with a press of a button and squeeze of a trigger. The downside is the length of the shaft. Also, I use a high-capacity battery from an Ego snow blower which makes it a bit on the heavy side. However, after a few minutes of use, I got used to the size and weight and was easily clearing weeds from the back yard. Now I need to develop a touch for the power trigger which seems to have little tactile feedback for adjusting the speed.

My son and I love this weed eater. We can get our small yard done in less time than it took to gas up and start our old ones.
