Exceeded my expectation.

This is my second EGO string trimmer. My first one was 5 years old and never had any problems. The battery finally died, which was not unexpected. The battery is warranted for 5 years residential use. It just made more sense to buy a new trimmer including the new battery. Have not reloaded the rapid reload trimmer head yet but looking forward to the simpler task, even though the old manual reload was not difficult. If you have any doubts, count on EGO to be a quality built, highly reliable tool and buy it. You won't be disappointed.

Great trimmer. It's well constructed and easy to use. I like the bump line feed mechanism. The battery charges fast and lasts plenty of time for to trim my yard. One thing I appreciate in particular is I can charge the battery right after unsung the trimmer. A battery operated trimmer I had in the past required a cool down period before this was possible. My only knock on this trimmer is I wish it was a little more powerful. I can still do everything I need, but having slightly more power would allow me to do it a little faster.

Much better than the kobalt plug in trimmer I owned previously. It's quieter than the other and has variable speed which is nice around trees. It's light but the hinge in the middle of the shaft limits where I can put the handle to where it's most comfortable. It cuts as well as well as my old toro gas trimmer which I didn't expect from a battery trimmer. I use 40-60% of the battery per use on our 1/4 acre property. Battery charges quickly but the fan makes a noticeable hum. My only concern is how long the battery will last which is why I'm storing the battery and charger inside where it'll be cooler.

I have only had this trimmer for a week so I am not able to fully assess the product. That being said, it has charged fairly quickly & held a charge for an hour of use.
The trimmer came packaged securely and was easy to assemble. I am a short woman but can handle this trimmer comfortably. Installing the handle at the lowest balance point is suggested for a shorter person like myself.
The trimmer works efficiently. I’m pleased to have it for landscaping clean-ups needed on this acreage. Mostly I have been cutting longer grass around larger rocks and shrubs. Thanks EGO!
