I purchased this, used it a few times over a 6 or 7 month period and it started making a noise in the head. Sounds a bit like a loose screw or something is moving around inside.Now, here’s why it’s a 2 star review. I contacted ego about the warranty. I had also registered my product when I bought it. I was on the phone with someone who I believe was from India and was hard to understand, That’s number one, Anytime customer service is outsourced at tends to be a little more frustrating. I had to go through a bunch of Steps which were pretty annoying in order to get my product serviced. I kind of expected that I would be able to return the Weedwhacker, Rather, they gave me a reference number and told me to bring it into a service center. I brought it in and they told me the head only has a two month warranty. So it appears I’m going to be paying for a new head on $160 Weedwhacker. The guy told me the heads are $50-$60. I have a barely use this thing!

We recently bought a snowblower and he discovered that this weedeater used the same batteries. That is a great plus. He definitely needed a new one and this has worked great

I have the mower for this brand as well. The batter fits so it’s a win/win. Love the fact that I don’t have to purchase gasoline. I simply charge the battery and go to work. Easy to assemble and use. Not too heavy, works well with getting against the edges of my home and yard.
