EGO Power+ LB6500 180 MPH, 600 CFM Variable-Speed 56-Volt Cordless Backpack Leaf Blower (Battery and Charger Not Included)

Amazon just delivered this today. I fully charged the battery and tested a few times the trigger, dial and turbo functions and it worked great. I set it down for an hour then pulled the trigger to test again before putting it away for the night and it would not turn on. Now only the light on the battery turns on. I tried it with the battery from my EGO mower and same result, so it’s definitely a problem with the blower itself. What a pain but I guess it’s good it failed right away and not just outside the warranty. This is way too much money to spend and apparently be this common of an issue based on other reviews I’ve read.

Performs as advertised. Best in class. Worth paying more for the performance. The intake fan designed thoughtfully: The battery placement behind the intake fan prevents the user’s clothing blocking the intake. Decent balance and a lot lighter than lesser performing competitors. The only disappointment I have with EGO Power company is that they do not make a cordless vacuum cleaner. They need to make a vacuum cleaner with a dual 5amp or a single 10amp battery for both for home and cars.

This is my third Ego 650 CFM Blower. The first two quit working within a few days. I used new fully charged batteries but when I pulled the trigger I would only get a “click “. I call customer support 10 TIMES !! Was put on hold every time for 30 to 45 minutes before I hung up. I left messages three times with a callback number but no reply. Two times I left a number for a team member to return my call when they were free to no avail. I really am impressed with the Ego products when they work. I also have an Ego Lawnmower and an Ego String Trimmer that work great. They really need to work on their customer service because it will come back to bite them.

This was the second EGO blower we got. The first was the backpack blower. However the battery only worked for less than 60 minutes. So ...

This is my first non-gas powered blower and I was extremely satisfied with the power of this blower! It was light (so light my 9 yr old daughter could easily use the blower) and comfortable to use. I look forward to using this blower to more yard work including cleaning out my garage, cleaning up grass clippings after mowing, and cleaning up fallen leaves in the fall. It was ready to use after a quick battery charge and the batteries are interchangeable with other EGO tools. The turbo feature is convenient and extremely helpful to assist with tough to clear objects or heavier items and the variable speed dial and lock is great for longer sessions when holding the trigger continuously would tire out your hand. This is my first EGO product and it will not be my last!
