I did a ton of research before making this purchase. I was debating between the Milwaukee (since I have Milwaukee tools) and the EGO and chose EGO because of the stellar reviews. However, I'm not happy with this purchase and will be returning it for several reasons:1) My speed selection LED is not working, the LED always shows 2 bars irregardless of high or low speed. However, the trimmer does change speed between high and low, even though the LED does not change.2) This thing is large and heavy. It's quite uncomfortable to carry around for more than about 25 minutes, even with the included shoulder strap. I'm 6'2" so I'm not small.3) Because it's so heavy and bulky, it's hard to use for edging. Also, the handle that straps to the metal trimmer bar keeps twisting due to the weight of the trimmer when I try to use it for edging. I have the handle tightened up as much as possible. EGO needs to fix this aspect of the design.4) I don't like the direction the head spins. As a right handed person, this thing keeps throwing stuff at me at high speed while edging. With my old trimmer, I could wear my regular eyeglasses, with this trimmer, I wear a pair of goggles that form fit up to my face so nothing can sneak underneath them. I almost had a corneal abrasion when a piece of debris snuck under my eyeglasses. I realize all trimmers throw debris, but this one really throws a lot.5) The head is designed such that the string emerges higher up than on other trimmers. This makes it hard to cut close to the ground without angling the trimmer.Note: this trimmer is bump feed and does not have LineIQ. I actually think this may be a good thing, at least for my use case, since I like having a short string when trimming in tight spaces between some of my more delicate plantings. LineIQ would always keep the string a longer, fixed length, which would not allow me to fit into these tighter spaces.
