I love all of my battery operated equipment. I’ll never go back to pulling ropes or gas powered. Absolutely the best

What can I say about this snow blower that wasn't already said about the original iPhone? Little did I know it at the time, but when I purchased this snow blower almost 5 years ago, that my life was about to change. This was the only model left in stock at Ace, with a huge snowstorm arriving that evening I had to purchase it or be stuck with the old hand shovel. I wanted something larger and more powerful, but I'm glad I was stuck purchasing this one. This winter will mark winter #5 and this thing hasn't slowed down one bit. And this little green beast hasn't just been surviving, it's been thriving! I've done cruel and unusual things to this snowblower that I thought for sure would push it past it's breaking point. I've used it on week old, wind-swept, frozen solid drifts. I'm talking over 100" of snow per winter where I live up North, absolutely brutal weather. I'm talking 60 degrees below zero windchill. I've plowed snowbanks 2 and even 3 times this things height. It has handled everything I've thrown at it an then some. If this, the smallest, lowest powered, snowblower made by Ego, can handle what I've subjected it to, then I know this brand is onto something. And since then I've purchased all ego tools, from a riding zero turn mower, to the highest end snow blower they make, along with about 12 other ego tools. Every single one of them have not had an issue. Unbelievable quality, every single one. This snow blower is so light, easy to use, and quick. I still reach for this one, over my top of the line 28" ego snow blower with the luxurious heated handles, quite often, just from how easy this is to use. This scrapes my driveway much cleaner than the self-propelled. I actually laughed when I took this thing home at the vinyl/rubber flexible auger, thinking how could this hold up at all? Well 5 winters later and this thing is just incredible. Some type of witchcraft/voodoo magic they are doing at Ego headquarters. But I'm here for it! This thing is so lightweight, I can easily pick this up and throw it into the back of my truck and run over to snow blow my parents or neighbors driveway. You cannot do that with any other snow blower. And the handle to turn the chute on this thing is like a little slice of heaven. It pulls so smoothly, and yet feels so sturdy at the same time. The motor does cut off if you ever overload it, but simply pull back, restart, and keep on pushing. It occasionally plugs the chute with wet, icy snow, but honestly it's quite rare. I've had entire winters where I've not had a single chute clog. It really just depends on the type of snow your throwing and the current temperature. This thing is probably one of the best things I've purchased, and it has so surpassed my meager expectations of what was possible with a battery powered piece of equipment. Sorry for the book I just wrote, but I wanted to tell my Ego origin story, and let you know how incredible this thing is. I've since moved out to the country where I will have an even more treacherous winter coming up, and this thing is ready to take on winter #5 with it's biggest challenge yet, and honestly...I'm not even concerned at all that it will get the job done and just keep on trucking. This thing is obnoxiously maintenance free. I purchased a replacement scraper bar 2 winters ago, and I've been wanting to replace it, but it won't give me a reason to. It just cleans my driveway so clean and smooth at every pass, like it's antagonizing me, laughing at me with it's lack of need for even minor maintenance. Don't hesitate to give this thing a shot. Buying this thing today is like getting Michael Jordan to come play on your basketball team the year after he was cut from his HS team....it's ready to outperform all expectations and go on the run of a generation.

I received this snowblower as a gift, though if I were to buy one myself, I would buy one of the more premium higher power models. It definitely does a good job, removing light snow and medium snow but anything slushy or heavy it gets clogged quite easily.

And that’s an issue with the paddle. Again, if I were to buy a snowblower or I could choose, I would buy one of the EGO’S that has the auger instead of the flip paddle.

Batteries are on the lower end, but with two, I can still do my small driveway, my neighbor’s driveway in a little bit on the road. It does suck at removing the windrows, however.

But otherwise, this is still a good snowblower to use.

It works well. Would like to have self propelled drive. But works fine on driveway, sidewalks, and deck. I need to push hard to do the path to my propane tank for heat in my house. Really blows snow far!

Three winters now with my Ego snowblower. It has been money well spent.. my favourite feature is the chute rotation handle, this handle is chunky and feels good in your hand and the chute rotates easily. on a slope driveway it does take quite a bit of an effort sometimes to come up but with cleats on my boots, it’s a good workout for the legs. On flat surfaces, no trouble easy to push and unless the snow is real deep. The only negative thing I could say would be that if the snow is too damp, it does not work well that way, but we do not often get that type of snow. It’s usually nice and dry and I know for sure I’ve had it shoot snow as far as 35 feet.
