have not used yet but hoping it works as good as the you tube videos show...won't miss the gas fumes at all

No gas, no oil, no smell and quite easy to use!

I like all of it's features. It is easy to operate and was easy to assemble. I , however bought it in the spring because of the on sale price. I won't know how it actually performs for me until winter. The reviews that I read prior to purchase were very favorable. So five stars for now .

Works pretty well and is much lighter than a gas unit, but learned a few lessons.1- buy multiple sets of 4 or 5ah batteries - not 7.5ah and larger hoping to keep the number of batteries that you need to buy to a minimum. Why? Because with heavy, wet snow the batteries overheat quickly (before they actually run out of juice). With large batteries you will have to keep stopping to wait for them to cool down before you can use the blower more. With multiple smaller batteries you can keep swapping them, alternating the pairs as they cool off.2 - this is a very high current draw tool and the aftermarket batteries can't keep up. Instead of overheating and shutting down until they cool off, they will fry. No exaggeration, I went through 8 pairs of aftermarket batteries trying to find ones that work for less money than the Ego brand. None stood up and several actually smoked. Stick with Ego batteries with known good ventilation and thermal shutdown circuits.The negatives to me are:1- minor annoyance of having to push the power button each time you stop the augers in order to be able to restart them2- not having a master power switch, so if you leave batteries in it and bump into the drive lever, it will move3- really needs better (Has none at all that I can tell) ventilation for the battery box to minimize the battery overheating issue.

This unit works all-right for small/medium driveways, but that's about it in terms of battery life, even with twin 7.5Ah batteries. I would urge caution if you have any slope to the area you're clearing, it can freewheel forward (like bike that can go without you pedaling). In many snowblowers, the self-propelled nature means that you can use it like an engine brake to moderate your speed on the hill. This EGO unit can go faster than motor is going, so you may have to chase it down the driveway if you don't hold it back. This can be a challenge for the user, as you're now having to hold it back while going downhill, which can rapidly turn into a dangerous chase down the hill. It may be "lightweight" as far as snowblowers go, but if you're clearing a long driveway, it can wear you out holding it back, almost as fast as the batteries are drained. Wear shoe/boots with great traction and be well rested if you've got a hill you're clearing, and have extra batteries on hand if it's more than a medium sized drive.
