Solid construction, looks great but power head dead on arrival. Battery charged up just fine and works in the EGO chainsaw but could not get power head to function. Tried everything and even tapping with a rubber mallet hoping something in the switch was sticking. Tried it off and on for several days then a week later when I was ready to return it all of a sudden it works. Used the pole saw attachment for several days and then a few times over the next couple of weeks. Now a month later went to use it and it's dead again so some sort of electrical problem. Now past the Amazon 30d return window so now have to drive 30mi to closest repair place. Needless to say I'm quite annoyed.

This was exactly what I needed to trim branches. I already have a small chainsaw, but I didn't want to get involved with trying to balance a ladder on uneven ground to trim high branches. Pole saw to the rescue. It's not lightweight - the battery is heavy - but the balance is good and I didn't find it to be a problem. It made quick work of a lot of branch cutting. I spent a much more time disposing of the trimmings than doing the actual cutting. Things to consider: by the proper oil which you'll need before you can use it, and consider buying an extension pole to give you more length.

What can I say!! ITS A EGO product. The best tools you can get.

I was really impressed with this saw. I live in the southwest and we have a tree called Mesquite that can be hard on a saw however it handled it surprisingly well. Thank God, no more pull strings or mixing gas and fighting carburetors and spark plugs I'm a fan of EGO

This is the first EGO tool that was defective. Customer support was very patient , within 4 days I had a replacement !! I use this pole saw to clear brush on 4wd roads. It works perfectly
