And batteries are universal fit with my other Ego products: Edger/Trimmer/Blower. I am now an Ego fan for battery powered yard equipment!i Reasonable cost for this level of quality/reliability- no smoke/start issues/fuel-mixing and low noise. Handles up to 8" diameter hardwood easily- that is all I need for downed limbs of mature hardwoods. Not intended for full size trees but with a sharp16" blade this little machine is impressive- who knows?

After finally using this saw, I've got to pass on what I found.  Bought this as my second electric chain saw (first one was only good for trimming bushes).  I picked up an Ego weed trimmer and really liked it so I bought one  Didn't have a chance to use it until today  What you see took less than fifteen minutes and while the battery is only 2.5ah, it only used 1/4 of a charge!  While this is somewhat wet holly,  I am seriously impressed.  I was thinking about getting a Stihl, but didn't like the price and having to get yet another different battery type.  Very happy with this one.

I have had several gas chain saws. It always comes down to them failing to start. This saw is lighter, chargers in 30 minutes and has plenty of for the clean up jobs I have.

Excellent Tool and cuts smoothly, good value for the money. I recommend purchasing a 2nd battery for bigger jobs. It comes with a 2.5-amp battery, I purchased a 2nd 5-amp Waitley battery, they are 1/3rd the price and they perform as good as the originals. (Been using their Dewalt knock offs for my 20v Dewalt cordless power tools for the last 4 years and have been very happy with them). The Ego Chainsaw is not intended to cut all day doing lumber Jack tree felling. For that type of duty, you need a commercial Stihl gas powered chainsaw. For around the house or camp, it performs as expected and sure beats fuel mixing, fueling and pull starting. See pics.
