    Great to convert your STA1500 to a brushcutter

    Used this kit to convert my STA1500 to a brushcutter. The blade/shield bolt right up. To install the barrier bar (which has no instructions) on a PH1400, you'll need to buy a quick release handle (D or loop, whichever you prefer) [Part numbers 2827594002 , 2824020003] and then use the included new quick release knob to get it together.
    The STA1500 and BCA1220 (brushcutter attachment) use the same gearbox, so I wouldn't worry about longevity of the tool once you convert it.

    The 3 blade cutter goes through stuff with ease that the string trimmer won't touch. You can take out smaller brush/trees too. There's a cutting edge on both sides of the blade, so you can flip it around when one side gets worn down.
