Not a fault of Power Parts at all. This EGO assembly is not designed well. I speak from 19 years designing printed circuit boards. I'm on my 3rd one with my mower in 7 years on a mower that is not "high use".
In short, the part is a perfect fit, it just won't last long. I've not spent nearly as much on replacing this unit as I did the original mower. (Right now they are $110 but a couple years ago the only one I could find in stock was about $230).
The whole unit is potted so you can't really fix anything on the PCB. One day your mower just won't work and after you pull out this assembly you'll see some charred volcano like hole in the potting compound where some part went into thermal overload and burned through the potting.
I really can't imagine buying another one of these. Chucking the mower if this one dies.... when this one dies.
