Performed better than my Husqvarna 550xp. Got through 1 1/2 60-70ft pines on the battery and I had zero cut outs. the max oil setting, although it at through chain oil quickly, really kept the bar/chain clean in wet pine/spruce (which has destroyed previous bars/chains). This is my third cordless chainsaw (have dewalts), and it is by far the quietest. No need for hearing protection. Only con is that it is a bit heavy, but this probably helped it eat through the wood while bucking with zero pressure on the handle. Especially if you have another big battery from an Ego lawnmower, etc., and a fast charger, there is no reason you can't go all day between 2 batteries. Highly recommended. Only 4 stars because I just got it and we'll see about its reliability/longevity.

I really want this saw to work and it worked so good when I first got it a couple weeks ago but now even with a full battery and new chain as soon as I put a load on it it stops. Really sucks

I could not be happier. This machine is perfect for the Farm/Ranch or country cabin. Lots of power and the 20" bar handles a lot of wood. The .325 chain has no problems with plunge cuts. It's not a complaint but it is not light. I'm 56 years old and with felling half dozen trees on the lot I had to take a break now and then. This saw is about a third cheaper than comparable gas saws which allows you to buy a second 8 Ahr battery. The battery lasts a good while and I just charge it at the end of the cutting day, I ran out before the battery. I love not having to deal with gas and mixtures and the like. I'm lucky as I already had the EGO 16" which is great for limbing the trunk.

For an electric chainsaw this thing blew my expectations away. Would not hesitate to buy again. Cut up several mulberry trees with only one bar used on my 10 amp hour battery

Order process went well and the chainsaw arrived quickly. My gas powered saw is a Husq. Rancher 455, but was curious to try electric, so went for this new Ego 20" commercial mainly off of the favorable power comparison.

This saw is plenty powerful and performs well compared to the rancher. I had a ~30" doug fir log that the power company just took down and wanted to cut it into rounds for firewood and the saw had no trouble making the cuts. My one issue is that I found the run time to be limited by overheating on the battery -- it shut down due to heat well before I used up the charge. I'm assuming this is mainly from running it at such a heavy load on such a big log just making cut after cut and hoping I'll see better performance relative to the heating one smaller logs, limbing, etc.

It think everything else is thoughtfully designed. The saw handles well and everything else about it acts just like the other saws you're used to.
