I live in what used to be ski country. The resorts now make their money as water parks in the summer. But, we still get the occasional heavy dump of fluffy white stuff, (more like slushy these days). This snow blower is pretty good at collecting and throwing snow. I cleared my driveway of about an inch of snow in record time. But the next day was quite a different story. The deal breaker is that THE WHEELS ARE NOT POWERED! It's like those old push lawn mowers...but for snow, which is not as light as grass. If you have to clear a drive with an accumulation of one, or maybe two inches, this machine is pretty cool. It's quiet and does a decent job. But if you've got real snow to move, anything over 4, 5, or 6 inches. It's not the one for the job. Trying to get traction in order to push it is near impossible, as it leaves a thin slippery layer of compacted snow in it's wake. I had to use ice traxx on my boots to get the traction to push it forward. I had to charge the batteries 3X to do my driveway (over 200') and I didn't have the strength left in me to do the turnaround. I had no idea that they made snow blowers without powered wheels!!! Given the winters where I live, it just doesn't make sense!
