Light weight and does a great job. I’m glad I found the last one at the store.

I've only had this for two weeks and we've had three snow storms in that time.
I'm going to throw out my first use, because I had never used a snow blower before and was pretty much trying to throw slush with the machine at its lowest speed so that was not great. The second snow was only about 3" and very light and fluffy, the blower worked well to clear the driveway and sidewalk but did not throw very far because there was not that much to throw (or maybe because I hadn't charged the battery from the first time I used it). The third time I used this was the charm. We got about 5" of snow mixed with freezing rain. On one charge I cleared my large parking pad, most of my shared driveway, which is huge, the sidewalk, and the the street at end of the drive that had been plowed in.
I'm delighted with the ease of turning on this snow blower and not having to deal with the maintenance of a gas blower. Oh, it's also QUIET!!!!! I could hear my phone ring in my coat pocket while using this blower.
NOTE: I am a 4' 11" 55 y/o woman. This machine is not light (88 lbs), but I can manage it pretty easily even dragging it up the steep part of my driveway. I researched snow blowers for women and every model was either a sub-par gas blower or an electric blower that would require a cord of at least 200'. This blower is the best that I could find that works for me.

We bought this snow blower because our old gas blower at our camp has become too heavy and cumbersome to handle and maintain by my partner. I was thrilled to see how easy it was to set up, power up and handle in 17 degree weather. It went easily through the two inches of light snow on the drive and handled the heavier drift with ice left by the plow at the end of the driveway. We probably will call a plow service for heavy accumulations but haven’t really challenged it yet. I am so happy to save my back from shoveling and even look forward to it snowing. Love that it is so compact and will be easy to store. I am 70 plus years old.

We bought at a good time as we have used the Ego now 4 times in the last two weeks! It is light weight enough that I have no problem maneuvering it or pushing it. The only thing we (my husband especially) are disappointed with - the throwing distance is not the 40' as advertised. BUT the snow we have had has been very wet and heavy so we know the snow condition will affect this. This is the only reason for the 4 stars vs 5 stars. Otherwise we have been VERY pleasantly surprised at the good quality of the unit itself and how quick we can clear the driveway.

Works as advertised - handled 10" deep snow without a sweat. Ya, maybe it doesn't throw 40' all the time but it was close for me with dry-ish snow. Light enough to lift onto my deck, scrapes right down to the pavement (might want a spare scraper). Spend the extra $50 and get the metal upgraded auger, well worth that. Battery life was great, did two walks and an large pad in front of three car garage with life to spare. If buying at Lowes be sure to get one in a box, some of theirs that were out in the weather you couldn't aim the auger, they were "jammed" and impossible to move.
