Oh my gosh! I love this machine! I am a 5’2” 68 year old woman and this weed eater is so awesome. Easy to use, unbelievable power. My husband said I’m obsessed because if I could I would have done all the neighbors yards I let the string get a little short so couldn’t get the line to feed so had to learn how to take the head off and fix the string…once I figured out how to do that I was off to trim the acre. I have a gas powered weed eater but always had to wait for my husband to start it plus it was heavy and awkward. With Ego I could use it when I wanted…just had to make sure it was charged. I love how light this tool is and how great and strong the string is. Can’t say enough how happy using the Ego made me. Thank you!

The Negatives first:

I've owned 3 trimmers prior to this one and with each I run into the same problems: fuel is a pain, re-loading line is a chore, and durability is an issue.

There are so many things to love about this string trimmer! One of the coolest features is the ease of inserting and winding the trimmer line. Quick and simple, just insert the line and push the button. Then when you're ready to advance the string, just bump it on the ground. I also like the fact that the shaft is adjustable, so it's the perfect height for anyone to use. Another bonus is the long battery life. I edged, trimmed, and touched up my whole yard, and still had plenty of battery life left. Battery powered tools are the way to go...no more navigating the cord of an electric trimmer or having to bother keeping gasoline on hand. Plus the batteries are interchangeable with other EGO tools, so it makes the whole yard work process streamlined. No more searching for which battery belongs to which tool and which charger. Overall, it is such a fun, easy, and satisfying-to-use trimmer. My husband and I are going to have to call dibs on who gets to use it first this Saturday :)

This is my first cordless garden tool. I was so excited that it arrived at the time when everything outside was overgrown and I had no way of transporting something heavy and bulky to the field by myself.
