This thing is a beast! So quiet and powerful. Great replacement for gas landscapers.

I have owned EGO tools for 7 years. I have string trimmer, hedger, 2 leaf blowers, and a chain saw. That is to say, I’m committed to the EGO brand. The decision to buy the commercial grade string trimmer wasn’t because my old trimmer wasn’t a dependable machine. Having it for over 7 years verifies that it provides the ability to get the job done. Through the years the only thing I have done is replace the bump head assembly. This provided more useful years of service. The decision to upgrade to the commercial version was based on future use. I have mixed use property. About 13 acres. Some used to grow hay to harvest. The need for the upgrade came from the need to replace the bump head again on my original trimmer, which I highly considered. My area of need to maintain my estate has expanded through the years. I felt the upgrade to the commercial was justified based on the increased area needed to be maintained. I am so glad that I made the decision to upgrade. This unit is definitely a noticeable improvement over the other unit I had. Everything about it is a noticeable improvement. Feel, balance, design, and more power. The three speed option allows better battery management. Limiting the speed based on needed power allows batteries to run longer. If you use your trimmer more than once a week I think this makes sense. So far I have no regrets for the purchase.

This string trimmer does the trick for our yard. The 3 speed options are great feature. Would definitely buy again in needed to.

Well made, works great

This 4500 is replacaing the Ego 1510t. Wore the bump head out. The 4500 is built well with carbon shaft. Big bump head which gives a 17.5 swath. The head isn't the best as I have to bump several times to release string. It has 3 speeds. Speed 1 is slow and wouldn't be used unless around something delicate, speed 2 is my gear I primary use but if the string starts to get a little short it also doesn't have good power, speed 3 has plenty of power but I know I will run through battery quickly so only use certain circumstances. Compared to 1510 speed 1 & 2 is weaker on 4500 but speed 3 is noticeably more power. Its been a week and have used every day so far so good. Have a Echo 2620 which is a great trimmer for backup. If a battery tool will do the job than I'll use those and save gas.
