I have put my new 18” battery powered Ego chainsaw to the test this weekend. I have been using gas powered chainsaw for many years and I tell you that this tool makes all the difference. Oil in ✔️, battery in✔️, safety equipment on✔️, get to work✔️&✔️. It handles great. Wonderfully balanced. And more than enough run time for my project (two tall oaks 6-8”). Trees were full of limbs. I took those off in no time, then cut the tree into fireplace size. Looking forward to getting more trees out of the way and cleaning up a lot of debris.
Oh did I mention that I am 76YO

Good saw, fills my truck with wood on one battery, no regrets

I bought this about a year now and it no longer works and no one helps or will do anything about it. Worst $450 I’ve ever spent.

Love this chainsaw. Turned 5 large trees (oak and beechwood) into bucks suitable for the splitter with very little drama. I had three large capacity batteries on hand and used them up over and over. But the saw kept cutting. Very few stalls and as long as I kept the chain sharp (filing it every few hours) it just kept going!

Good day,

I am 70 years old and I have been cutting fire wood for 30 years now. Living in Michigan I burn wood 5-6 months a year.
Approximately three years ago, I purchased an ego 18 inch electric chainsaw. I did this after an extensive review of other brands and chose the ego. I live on a property with 10 acres and 120 foot canopy of trees. Needless to say there’s plenty of wood to be cut. I set aside 10 face cords a year for the winter season.

Ever since I purchased the ego saw my Husqvarna 357 has been gathering dust. I’ve used the Ego electric saw to drop and quarter my firewood, including my 80 foot large trees. I have been impressed with the ease of use and reliability of this saw. The cam chain adjuster is a dream. No more wrenches and screw driver with 10 minutes of down time. Also the saw does not leak a drop of bar oil, not my experience with my other saws that always leave a puddle of oil just sitting.

It has been three years now and I’m just now replacing the original chain and only because it was stretched beyond the adjuster. My Husqvarna eats chain for breakfast. Now after 3 years my batteries are not lasting as long and will probably need to be replaced soon. The saw has been the the most reliable saw I have ever used.

I just wanted to commend you on a well made and easy to use product. Needless to say this is my “go to “saw for every day use. No more heavy saws , hard starts, mixing gas, or ear muffs. I just toss it in the back of my Ranger and go!

Ps also have been using an ego string trimmer for 6 years. 👍….flawless .

Respectfully ,

Tim Sutherland
