I'm 42 and have never used a chainsaw before! But the manual nicely covers safety issues (concurring with dads around my work and the Internet ;)) and I had ice damaged trees to deal with, so I ordered this model. I love the EGO push mower and string trimmer I have and this was a natural choice for the next tool purchase. It worked superbly; I never experienced any issues and it made a job that would've taken a while by hand finished in minutes. Just make sure you get chain bar oil and put it in before firing it up! I'm super happy with this chainsaw - I'd even say I had fun using it! And, bonus, someone made a 3D printed mount available that connects snugly where the battery would normally go so I can mount it on the wall! I'm very happy I purchased this tool and the process with Power+ Parts has been great every time.

I literally use this after mowing, on driveway, in garden paths.

I will never purchase a gas chain saw again. This thing is awesome!!

I have never worked with a chainsaw before, but my husband has. This is our first battery operated one. It worked wonderfully. I have multiple Ego Tools and only bought the chainsaw without battery. It worked better than the gas powered (per my husband). No regrets

I have had this for 2 years, my daughter got for me on Father's day 2022. Finally had a reason to use it, my cherry tree died. 4 6" diameter limbs were no problem for this, cut them up in 5" pieces.
