This is my third electric mower and appreciate how they have advanced. This is a nice system with easy use and long lasting battery life. I was going through two batteries with old system. This handles mowing the lawn as well as weed whacking and blower cleaning with same battery.

I've bought many tools over the years from Ego and their batteries consistently don't perform. They quickly degrade by losing capacity. My latest failure is the most frustrating as Ego Power Tools really failed to stand behind their product and now are losing a customer forever. I bought a mower 3 years ago and the battery went bad and ego refused to cover it since it is past 3 years (barely). This is despite me registering the product and getting an extension for 5 years of coverage. They say that since it was registered after 90 days after purchase that they aren't covering it even though I have the receipt. They just don't care. I'm done with you Ego. People considering buying from them, you will NOT get your money's worth from this purchase as the batteries consistently do not last.

It’s a powerful machine, the battery lasts long enough to cover my whole lawn. And it also looks nice! It’s expensive but it’s totally worth it.

My first impression upon opening the box was “that’s a lot of plastic!”. I think there is no more than 3 pounds of steel, including the blade. That said, it is much lighter than my old gas-powered Toro.On the positive side it is easy to start and does a good job of cutting grass. Battery life is good - I can get two mows from one charge but that’s not a big advantage because I am happy to recharge between cuts. I am also happy with the mulching blade because I no longer have to deal with a bag.On the downside, I don’t like the way they designed the controls for self-propelling. The actuators are positioned on the handle in such a way that I am constantly pushing them inadvertently. Which means the mower moves unexpectedly and that can create a safety hazard.Bottom line: it’s much easier to operate than my old gas mower but I’m not convinced it’s worth the price. There are more affordable options that probably do just as good a job of cutting grass.

I actually enjoy mowing because mow quality is comparable to previous gas mower but less weight, less noise. My front and back yards require 2 charges so I use 2 batteries. Worth it.
