As expected except for weedeating the Guard is dangerously small/narrow, New head is great , but then forced to order larger EGO guard adding to price and frustrations.

Purchased this to go on a preexisting multi head. Chose this one because it will accept a brush blade conversion. Only used a couple of times and still use the string that came in it but head seems to feed really well. Almost to easy to activate. The unit itself feels a bit light duty and is less comfortable to use then a standard gas unit. The battery rubs my forearm when in use and the balance is funky even when I played with the position of the handle. Good price and function so far so am fairly happy with the phrchase

I recently bought the STA1500 trimmer head to go with my Ego Power Head system. The power head attachments are extremely easy to swap even if the overall system is a lot heavier than a dedicated tool (string trimmer, edger, etc.). The convenience is worth the trade off in weight. The STA1500 is no exception. It works well and does the job I need it to. MY issues with it? One minor issue is I wish it had power load for the string. I got spoiled with my other Ego trimmer. It's not a huge deal, but is something I miss. The big issue I have is the guard. It's tiny. The angle that it protects you from flying debris is tiny. It is literally half the size of any other Ego trimmer guard. I can't for the life of me understand why they cheaped out on this. The trimmer works great, but you're constantly being pelted with debris because the guard is insufficient for the job. Now I have to go spend another $40 for a replacement that actually works. I was disappointed in this on an otherwise nice tool.

I brought a month ago and working fine, can’t believe it’s so hard to find a replacement after five years.

I bought this to replace my 9 year old 15" string trimmer which no longer worked properly and was out of warranty. I already had the power head with the aluminum shaft and found this attachment for a good price. It is OK but not as good as my old trimmer was before the switch broke making it only work at the highest speed. It is not quite as easy to control. It is heavier and not as well balanced. It does an adequate job but next time, Iĺl purchase a dedicated trimmer rather than an attachment for the multi-head system.
